The .pdf documents contained in the following folder constitute a reproduction of the entirety of the Madison County Index to Chancery Cases Book 1. There are two (2) indices to ChanceryCases. This is the first one. It covers the period 1871 through 1982. Index entries for chancery cases from 1982 through 1992 are contained in Index to Chancery Cases Book 2. The "SearchChancery Cases" feature of the Chancery Clerk's webpage should be used to search the index for cases filed after 1992. Please note that Index to Chancery Cases Book 2 and the online indexoverlap. Both should be consulted to insure a complete search.
